Spending every waking moment job hunting can make one crazy. After blitzing through the websites of all my target companies and seeing blanks for job openings, I came to the obvious conclusion that one week of wall street rallies is not going to make the turtle stick its head out of the shell. Too many hungry natives waiting around with shovels to lop of its head.
So in between, I’ve been taking advantage of the great weather and heading outside with friends. This could technically be considered job hunting because in my experience, you have a better chance of finding a job through personal contacts rather than clicking submit on a website.
Here are some highlights from the week.
Marin Headlands hike. Took the 3 mile loop which was laced with wildflowers and gorgeous vistas.
Post birthday party burrito at Taqueria Cancun on Mission around 19th. Al pastor is one of my favorites.
Afternoon jaunt to Portrero Hills for some blondies and lemon bars at Baked. Sinfully tasty. The butterscotch in the blondies sank to the bottom during baking, making a nice crunchy crust. And the lemon bars were great as well with an awesome crust. Yes, I am a crust fiend. The filling is just an accessory.
Brunch at Zazie’s in Cole Valley with the cousin. I can never get enough of good poached eggs. This one was with prosciutto and tomatoes provencal.
